| Location: El Barrio Gótico es una de las zonas más
antiguas e interesantes de Barcelona, desde el punto de vista del turista.
Aquí es donde el turista encuentra La Rambla, la famosa avenida
de 2 kilómetros de largo que va desde la Plaça Catalunya
hasta el puerto de Barcelona, mostrando lo que quizás sea la
esencia de Barcelona.. El Barrio Gótico es la manifestación
urbana más antigua de la ciudad y el centro histórico.
Durante los siglos hasta incluso hoy ha asumido el papel del centro
de representación política y instituicional. Antiguamente
se lo llamaba barrio de la catedral. Allí se encuentran los grandes
edificios góticos que señalan el apogeo de la ciudad y
